  • Re: CalendarExtender - Layout is messed up in an updatePanel

Nice trick, Denis! This worked for me without the need to add an hidden extender. Simply add a new .css in your theme and paste Denis code for style sheet. Thanks!
  • Re: Problem after SP1 for Windows 2003

Dave, really THANK YOU! You've been VERY helpful! I can assure you people this problem is not affecting DNN only but a whole range of .NET products. After applying SP1 on our production servers, many of our .NET application stopped working, because of emphasized symptoms. I'm really really angry that MS allowed such thing to happen! Funny thing is this wasn't happening on our 2 test servers so this is somewhat related to installed software. I was looking for information about this for 2 or 3 weeks

  • Re: Does this portal perform and scale?

Hello Snow. I used Rainbow to develop a couple of applications and I have to say that, though I have no reference data, I can't really complain about performance. I don't know if any statistics about users limit exist, but I have to say latest versions are REALLY fast and I hadn't much problems about it. However, I wasn't worried about concurrent users while developing such applications but mostly about length of operation users could do. I have to say that Rainbow scheduler allowed me to solve this

  • Re: Novice in Rainbow.. Help! differences DotNetNuke

In my opinion DNN focused more on UI and user experience and less on framework itself. Result is while DNN has a few more eye-candy features (like, if I understood it well, for example, you can define your own menu and so on) while it lacked features which were more important to me. As Emanuele stated, RP has a strong localization engine, for example, which is something DNN hadn't until a recent build. RP framework is more consistent and easy to use too. Plus RP has nice features like different visual

  • Re: How to add my aspx in a module at Rainbow?? Help me!!

Hello jordif, there are few ways to do this and it all depends on how much "integrated" you wish your pages to be. The first question you need to ask yourself is: do my pages require special settings / configuration? You have to consider that root web.config file stores Rainbow Portal settings. There should be no problems in adding your settings as long as they don't interfere or change anything for Rainbow itself. If that's ok, you can simply deploy your files in a folder or root and such

  • Re: How to add new customized module??

Hello. If you browse Rainbow Portal website, you will find a tutorial about how to build your own modules. Even if C# is used, you should have no problems if you're using VB.NET as well. Regards.
