  There is also the possibility of other words appearing inside the <a> tags, I dont think the above regex can handle that. At the moment, I have resorted to having users mark anything they want turned into a link by surrounding it with [ ], and that seems to work.

• Regex Query

  First off, I know I havent been around for a long time, so Hi to those who remember me. I have a bit of a regex problem that I'm stuggleing with. I need to match occurances of a specific word, and wrap a <a href=""> tag around the word. This would be simple, but it is possible that the word may already be inside another <a href=""> tag, in which case the link wouldnt work, and would be invalid. I need a way of wrapping the word, only if it is not already contained within another <a>

  Would it not be possible to setup the site to either: 1. map page.html to page.aspx? or 2. Have a custom 404 page that detects the page the user was trying to access (page.html) checks for an equivilent page (page.aspx) and if it exists, redirect?

  It should work fine like that I believe. Check the log files for CassiniEx to see if there were any errors starting the web application.

  Only one problem with that. Cassini does not support the windows authentication scheme, so I dont see what adding that line to the web.config would achieve.

  thats a very common problem with Cassini. It has nothing to do with the port being used normally, but appears because the .dll file is not registered in the GAC correctly. You will need to locate gacutil.exe on your machine, add the path to it to your path variable, and then re-run the build.bat file. I have suggested before that as this issue is so common it is posted and pinned at the top of the forum, but no-one ever listens, so we have to put up with the same question over and over again. Sorry

  If you mark the property as protected it can only be accessed by the class itself, or any classes that inherit from it. This will prevent users from accessing it by any method other that inheriting the class again themselves.

  You could try re-installing the .net framework, it should replace the dll if it is missing.

  Those may be good reasons to change it, but Cassini does not have the security that IIS has, and should not be used to serve a live website. You need to look into configuring IIS for this, not Cassini.
