  Just a quick comment. This overlapping is probably related to CSS. If you add overflow: auto to the style of the tag containing the gridview, you'll probably fix the error without having to resort to javascript. I'd be interesting in hearing if it works. Good luck, Sam

  The site is not precompiled. I did however notice that I had left the web.config compilation debug="true" directive. I've changed it to false. Do you think this could have been the problem? I haven't had a chance to test it, as it's a production site that I would prefer not to bring down for a test... Thanks, Sam

• modify .resx w/o crashing site

  I have a localized site that is online. When I modify a .resx file and upload it, it crashes the site, requiring me to delete the temporary files to revive it (which is a major pain cuz I have to call tech support to delete the files). There must be a way of modifying these files without this unwanted behavior... The error I get is "Unable to find resource" or something like that, but ironically, it's looking for a different resource file, one that is in the master page, not the one

  Um, I think you missed something, cuz your code isn't working. Did you save the .xsd to the App_Code directory? The fact that the compiler doesn't recognize the class makes me think that this might be the case. Go back through the code and verify that you didn't skip a step or something. Good luck, Sam

  As a general rule, your business layer should not worry about data base issues. Your data layer should sort it out the relations. I like the dependency injection model myself. Can you be a bit more specific about the entities? I can't "see" the nature of TableA and its relations to TableB and TableC :)... Good luck, Sam

  Did you create a class in your project named UserProfileTableAdapter? It doesn't look like it. Try removing line 11 there. Good luck, Sam

  It looks right. Try adding event handlers for Updating and Updated and Trace.Write the parameter values. You could also add a try/catch block and Trace.Write any exception messages. Does the online user have update privileges on the table? Good luck, Sam
