Re: Mixed feelings
In the beta we will have an ObjectDataSource that will enable you to bind directly to the data access layer -- making it easy to manage complex data scenarios while maintaining 'enterprise' quality patterns. Hope this helps. -Brian

Re: Accessibility in ASP.net / VS Whidbey
The accessibility checker supports both Section 508 and WCAG compliance so you will be able to easily identify accessibility issues in your site that violate both the US and European standards. Hope this helps. -Brian

Re: Force fed Parameters perhaps.
I'm not 100% certain, but I think in the alpha, the @ syntax for named parameters isn't working. I ran into this at some point on an earlier build. I'd just stick with using = ? for now, setting parameters in order. I'll find the right person to investigate further as well. Thanks, Brian

Re: Visual Class Designer
unfortunately, this feature is not part of the PDC build you received. It will be part of the beta. Only about 2/3rds of the overall functionality is in the Tech Preview, and the rest will come online in the Beta which will be available in the Spring. -Brian

Re: turn on the code-behind?? not code-beside :(
Not sure what you mean by auto-generated code... but: in ASP.NET 1.1 and Visual Studio .NET 2003 code behind used an inheritance model -- meaning that the .ASPX page inherited from the code-behind page. As a result, there was a "hidden" region in the code behind page where it was necessary to declare all the components that existed in the .ASPX page. VS took care of this 'wire-up' code for you, but if you used other tools you had to make sure to keep the files in sync. In "Whidbey
