  • Re: Scoreboard error..?!?

OK...now for the second problem. :-) When the XML is parsed, the Pick'Em module puts all of the schedule info into the database. At that point, the XML is never looked at again. That means that if you edit the games using the module then you won't see those changes reflected in the XML. So hopefully that makes things clearer for you. What I might add in the future (or you could add if you have some time since the source code is available) is an option to export the schedule as XML so that it could

webguru, I'm not sure why that doesn't work for you. You can check out http://www.aream.ca/DNN/ScoreboardFeed/tabid/57/Default.aspx for my install of ScoreboardFeed. I allow anonymous changes to that instance so you can test to see how it should react. My gut instinct solution to your problem is to get you to check if you are behind a proxy server. If so, you'll need to set your DNN proxy settings. I haven't been able to test the proxy settings yet so maybe that's the problem. Let me know if that

s2k - I haven't released the source yet for ScoreboardFeed. I fully intend to but I just have to get around to it first!

webguru, Sorry for the delay - I've been out of town during the Christmas break. Which scoreboard were you using? Did this problem occur on every scoreboard or just on the ESPN scoreboard that you were using? Any troubleshooting information that you can provide will help me to figure out the problem. Thanks. mike.

  • Re: Skedpack question...

This bug has now been fixed. In addition, I've added some data to the Scoresheet control for those pools that use confidence points and/or spreads (thanks Anatol & Anthony). Grab 3.06.04 at http://www.aream.ca/DNN/PickEm/tabid/56/Default.aspx . As usual, backup your current database before upgrading. This version does not have any db enhancements, but I would consider the Scoresheet changes to be at beta stage and I wouldn't want anybody to introduce that into a stable pool. For those of you

  • Re: Skedpack question...

Dustin & deftdesigner, I've noticed that error from time to time. I don't believe that it has anything to do with Pick'Em - it's some sort of file locking that occurs. I'll try to recreate it and see if I can figure out what the problem is. mike.

Mark, I stole the NFL images from ESPN's pigskin pick'em. I built the CFL ones on my own. Unless you can find the college ones somewhere, you might be stuck building them on your own as well. mike.

  • Re: Plus Signs removed from SQL Script

Richard, I think that quite a few of us have had the same problem in the past. You'd probably find the answer throughout these forums with a quick search. Make sure that you save your sql files as UTF-8. If you're using Notepad, just do a Save As and you'll see the Encoding option at the bottom of the Save As dialog. Most likely, it's set to ANSI so you'll need to switch it to UTF-8. Also note that Notepad doesn't remember this setting for the next time so it's always safe to reset the encoding each

  • Re: Confidence Scores in Leaderboard?

AZMadHatter, Wow...lots of questions. Let me try to go through these..... AZMadHatter wrote: I added all the users and then submited picks for one user so I could understand the data, then exported the picks Table as a CSV and manually entered the data for the first two weeks...The Leaderboard is displaying 0 for all participants for the first two completed weeks... OK...did you update the Games table and the Picks table? Or just one of them? There is some business logic in the code for updating

  • Pick'Em v3.05 available

I've uploaded v3.05 to my site . Feel free to grab it. Make sure that you backup your DB before installing! See my notes at the bottom of this post. This release fixes a few bugs. It definitely fixes the bug that was posted that had to do with a user that had manually selected some games but left the rest to the default pick. It also fixes some bugs that I found during development. As well, this version will get scores from www.nfl.com/schedules. In order to use the Get Scores feature on either the
