Re: Update Panels and Page event validation
Hi Shawn Yeah what you say is correct, and I could just use the style="display:none;" but I guess the problem with this is that I would have to manually manage the state of the display, if the form was to postback... For now though I think I will accept the fact that client validation won't work on AJAX modified forms. Technically though, would it be much work for ATLAS to update the validation on postbacks? Dan

Re: Update Panels and Page event validation
Hi Scott, Thanks for your reply - what i was meaning though was I don't change the viewstate variable with client code - however I have found if i have hidden (server) panel with form elements on it (in an update panel) which I make visible through a (AJAX) server click, the panel which is now visible still submits to the server even when its validation controls are invalid... The server catches the validation errors anyway, but ideally I would like the client to prevent it from posting if it isn

Re: Update Panels and Page event validation
Hi Scott, Is there anyway to make the client validation work if you update the ViewState? I hide parts of a form which becomes visible when you click a button. I would like the client validation to work on the form which has just become visible, is this possible?

Re: Javascript button click event oddity in FireFox
Hi there, I am experiencing the exact same error with my application, did you come up with any workaround for this problem? For me I want to be able to Trigger the update for a specific update panel, but firefox updates them all if the click event is triggered in javascript... I would be very interested if you had any suggestions... Thanks, Dan

ATLAS Update panel does not update if & is in the page title
If you are experiencing a problems with the update panel not updating after an ATLAS postback, be sure to check if there are any '&' characters in your page title. Recently I came accross this and it took me ages to figure out why the AJAX stopped working! After replacing the '&' with '&' it all works good again ;)
