  • Re: Where to submit MVCToolkit updates/suggestions/tweaks?

Thanks, I'll post my changes here if I get the ok from Rob, but since I am deriving from his work I want at least a tasid approval before I start showing how I am refactoring his work :-)... Josh PS: I just shot him an email thru the forum as there isn't a contact form (or email address) on his blog.

  • Where to submit MVCToolkit updates/suggestions/tweaks?

I'm working on a project where I'm am adding fixes to the MVCToolkit.. Some of them are ones already discussed here (like xhtml formatting of tags) others are nice to have tweaks, changes to the overloads and a little refectoring to be a touch more dry. Anyways, is there somewhere/one I can send these to.. If nothing else the actual bug fixes might be useful :-). Thanks Josh

  • ModalPopup and Passwordstrength don't mix.

If I add a password strength to a field in a modal popup the help_text works (when linked to a control in the popup as well) but the strength indicator does not. Taking the same controls and placing them outside a modal popup and all is well.. Is this a ZOrder kinda issue and are there properties I could tweak to get the passwordStrength indicator to actually be above the modal popup? Thanks Josh

  • Re: DNN 4.0 Module upload issue

cnurse wrote: There are issues with Beta2 of .NET2 and VS2005, so please install release versions, and try again. So that may explain the issue for developers, but is there an explination when this is sitting on a standalone server with nothing more than IIS, .NET 2.0 (release), Sql express (release), Correct file permissions (as per 2.x and 3.x) AND no Resources.zip?

  • Re: DNN 4.0 Module upload issue

I wish having a resources.zip file was a silver bullet but I have a module that doesn't have it (no localization) and it is also failing in the exact same fashion (it doesn't have any Zipfiles inside it for that matter)... So that may be part of the issue but its not the whole thing. Josh

  • Re: Error when installing module definitions - DNN 4.0

I started another thread on this (didn't see this one was already started) But I am also getting the same error.. All the core modules installed and Network Server & ASPNET user accounts both have FULL CONTROL on the DNN Install directory. So Folder Permissions shouldn't be part of this issue. Is there a file size limit that hasn't been tweaked in the new Web.config (similar to the issue we used to have with DNN 2.X), maybe something related to ASP.NET 2.0 that is dissimilar to ASP.NET 1.1 in

  • Module Install on DNN 4.0 Causes Error?

I am trying to test my modules in DNN 4.0 when when I try to install the PA's, I get the following error ExceptionSystem.ObjectDisposedException: Cannot access a closed file. at System.IO.__Error.FileNotOpen() at System.IO.FileStream.Seek(Int64 offset, SeekOrigin origin) at System.Web.HttpRawUploadedContent.TempFile.GetBytes(Int32 offset, Int32 length, Byte[] buffer, Int32 bufferOffset) at System.Web.HttpRawUploadedContent.CopyBytes(Int32 offset, Byte[] buffer, Int32 bufferOffset, Int32 length) at

  • Change the Image directory for TextEditor Image Gallery?

There are two things I want to do using the TextEditor that is in DNN (rather than using a fixed text editor. 1) Allow Anounymous to upload Images 2) Set the directory that is the root of the image gallery (the upload directory) for each module. Thanks Josh

  • Re: DotNetNuke passing an FDA Audit?

our project is due in mid febuary, I'll let you know what I learn as we get closer to the audit.. I can already tell you that to meet some of the specific security needs of the site I have had to create a custom skinning module to avoid core changes.. This was so I could implement Expiring passwords and redirect to log out after 15 minutes... By the way with 3.0.5 is there a way to actually let DNN handle Expiring passwords? The ASP_NETMembership table has a PasswordLastChange, which I am using but
