Re: Weird behavior - adding controls to...
Somehow my wires got crossed up. I simply created another master page and pasted the controls and code into the files and I am back to normal. Thanks.

Re: Weird behavior - adding controls to...
That is the first thing I looked at and I can't see anything amiss. The attributes look the same as my other master pages in other projects. Thanks for your comment.

Re: how to use apache tomacat with visual studio 2005
Apache does not run the .NET framework so I don't believe you can do it. On second thought check out the MONO project. They might have a solution for you. Google it.

Weird behavior - adding controls to...
This is weird. I have a site that uses master pages. I currently have a master page that has many controls on it (labels, text boxes, menus etc). I have not modified the master page in a long time because all of the work is in content pages. Now when I add a label (or any other control for that matter) the weirdness starts. I go to the code behind page and type something like this.label1.Text = "blah blah"; I get a squigly underline error that states 'master does not contain a definition

Re: Login Control logs user in, but User is not authenticated, but user really is!
I figured it out. The cookie has not been inserted in the browser yet because a round trip from the server to the user back to the server has not happened. Thanks for your reply.

Login Control logs user in, but User is not authenticated, but user really is!
I am using aspnetmembershipprovider. Everything works fine. I slap a login control on my login page and am able to login and get to my secure folder etc. When I try and put some code in the LoggedIn method "User.Identity.IsAuthenticated" = false, yet if I blow through that, I am logged, authenicated etc. The documentation says that the LoggedIn event is "after the user is authenticated". Any Ideas what is up?

Re: Losing a:active style because menu is built each time page is requested
Hi Gennady Thanks for your reply. I am not really sure what you mean. Could you explain it a little further.

Losing active style on link because link is built each time page is built...
Cross post from Advanced forums, which aren't very populated. I have a custom control based on CompositeControl. This contol has some hyperlinks in it which are styled by a css class. The class is using the a:active psuedo class style which works, but the is then redrawn and the link is no longer the active link and the style goes back to a freshly painted link. Any ideas on how to keep the active link active? Thanks.

Re: GridView.SelectedValue issue.
Hey rexlin, thanks for your post. It worked great. My original problem was I didn't see the "CommandArguement" property of the button field and didn't think to template it and set the property there. Thanks again for your help.
