Re: Stock Ticker module?
http://dnn.johndcooper.com/Default.aspx?tabid=52 Try that one. My guess is it still may work with other versions of DNN.

Re: a free host for testing site for non profit org
smehaffie wrote: For all those who are complain that this was made public, Joes initial statement was not an official core post about the site not following the logo usage / trademark policies. Joe was just stating he would not recommend the site becuase the did not follow the published logo usage / trademark policies. Do not all community members have a right to state how they feel? If Joe was not a core member, would anyone have jumped on the post and accused the core of handling the situation

jbrinkman wrote: So I guess we have no right to expect people to honor copyrights or trademarks? They ignore requests to fix the problem and then when our complaints become public, you say we are at fault? The issue is easily solved. Just respect other peoples property. Is that somehow asking so much? You have every right to do so. Do it in private (makes more business sense). I could argue the point but then I would be no better off than what I am complaining about. I don't think your at fault but

Core Team, DotNetNuke is your business although it isn't for profit. Is this how customers can expect to be treated?

The site uses DotNetNuke trademarked logos in violation of the terms of use, even though the owner has been asked repeatedly to cease their use. Additionally I have a problem with sites that use IFrames to co-opt other copyrighted content in an attempt to make it appear to be their own work. As an Open Source project I find it reprehensible when people take advantage of our generosity. If the service this company provides is so

Re: How do I go about creating a new module template?
I am not sure what you mean by template for modules. Do you mean you want to build a new module and need the project template to do it? Or do you mean the actual template for the site to that builds menus, pages, and adds modules to the site? Let me know and I can answer you a little better.

Re: DNN or not DNN???
- It seems it is the perfect solution for Company websites or personal websites Is it perfect? No. It is a solution for some people. It has pro's and con's and really depends on what your requirements are. - Seems very slow when you run it first time Welcome to .Net. Your server(s) will have some to do with this. If your Ebay like, then you will never see a recompile unless the server is down. - Many times unexpected bahaviour happens Testing is important. Even the core will have bugs. - Because

I was only saying what could happen. I do not think in any way shape or form that it will.
