  • Does anyone have this behaivior with DNN 3.2?

I have just installed DNN 3.2 (Source) in my development machine, a clean install in C:\dotnetnuke32 with dotnetnuke32 as alias. Installation went with no errors and the DNN site runs well, but ... If I edit a module or page/site/host configuration 2 of 3 times, when I click on the Update link, my whole machine restarts without any advice! And this only happens with DNN 3.2 I run Windows XP PRO Have Visual Studio 2003, VS2005 Express C# and Web Developer Editions SQL2000 and SQL 2005 Express .NET

Hi Cathal, I have just finished downloading the last versions, I will check the code and, if the issues are still there, I will post them in the project's forum. Thanks, Patrizio

David, The code changes recommended in this thread are still valid for DotNetNuke 3.1.1. I will play a bit with versions 3.2 and 4.0 and I'll post my comments about this issue on next week. Patrizio

Patrizio, i have access to 3 proffessionally hosted servers, 2 of which are brand new shared hosting servers with only a couple of sites running . I get the same problem on all 3. I'm running 3.1 and have used the default release.config file for the web.config. mlonwebdev, Then your problem is your connection bandwidth. I have the same problem

I had the same problem and I was able to correct it making this modifications with almost the same values. Which values are the correct ones? Depends of your bandwith and how crowded is your shared host server . Patrizio

  • Re: Missing content - what's going on ?

Happened Again And this time it gets corrected only by opening the main portal. Something is not working with my DNN instalation and is related with sub portals. The only difference between this subportal and the others is that this one was created while in version 3.1. I will be tracking my site behaivior this weekend searching for the real reason of this issue. I hope to come back with a solution. Patrizio

Same problem here! ... But resolved For all of you guys that want to know how here it is: I changed my web.config file to force an application restart. This the only thing that worked, all others clearing DNN cache, IE cache and cookies, etc didn't work. Facts: 1.- DNN 3.1.0 upgraded from 3.0.13 2.- Shared hosted account on WebHost4Life 3.- Windows 2003 (SP1 applied? not sure) 4.- No aparent related errors on event log. Just duplicated word errors (search engine), and one page and two module load

I was planning to merge to DNN DBs in one to minimize admin related work. I will wait until the next release. Patrizio
