How do I implement a Master/Details view in MVC?
Still learning MVC. Have found the scaffolding in the RC helpful but I cannot begin to figure out how to implement a master/details scenario, like the classic customer information and customer orders, using MVC. I can create a view with one or the other but can I have a view (or page) that displays both? Thanks in advance. Mike

Re: Recently purchased Visual Studio 2005 Professional!
I am running VS 2005 Std. and VS 2008 VWD on my personal machine with no probs so far. I have VS 2005 Pro at work but no MSDN subscription so I'll have to convince my boss that it's worth buying VS 2008 Pro for me. The fact that you can target multiple frameworks and get all of the new features makes me believe that I'll be able to do that. At least I hope so .

Re: Rainbow vs. IBuySpy
Most developers who started with IBuySpy/Portal Starter Kit have moved to DotNetNuke or Rainbow. You may have a hard time finding someone who can quickly help you. Since you've already discovered Snowcovered, you might want to see if they have a DNN module that meets your requirements and if so, move to DNN.

Re: what's the admin account and pwd?
It comes with the .Net framework. The file called aspnet_regsql.exe and will be located in the one of the framework folders. Or better yet in VS 2005 or Web Developer Express go to Website > ASP>Net Configuration to launch the tool.

Re: Most up to date source?
Did you mean <crickets> </ crickets> or <crickets /> <crickets /> ? Really I don't think it's a matter of $$$ but that of time and resources. If someone had the most up to date code they would have to make it available for download as well as take on the responsiblity of updating it when bugs were found or start a project on perhaps www.codeplex.com and recruit others to help. I for one do not have the time and I'm only using parts of the starter kit for one web site, so bugs

Re: basic question
This thread, http://forums.asp.net/1/1382364/ShowThread.aspx , has information on a MySQL version. To my knowledge there is not a MS Access version. The default version only works with SQL Server and SQL Server Express.

Re: Where is the Portal Download? Missing from Starter kits page...
All of the starter kits for 1.1 have been moved. You'll find the Portal kit at the bottom of this page, http://www.asp.net/downloads/default11.aspx?tabid=62 . To my knowledge there is no 2.0 version.
