  • Prevent WAP publishing vssver2.scc files?

How does one prevent WAP publishing vsscer2.scc files ( which cannot be over written) in publish operations? Thanks..
  • Re: First AJAX use, must be missing somthing..

I eventually got it to work on the TestSite within the toolbox.. 1. If the Control toolkit control works, does this mean AJAX extensions are working? I.e if the rounded courners work is AJAX working, i.e correcly installed? 2. If it does not work, how does one work out why? Is there debugging of the AJAX code within VS 2005 ( stuff seems to be processed within HTTP modules or handlers). 3. It would appear that with AJAX 1.10 it should work out of the box, not need to set default to get a update?
  • First AJAX use, must be missing somthing..

Using the latest versions of AJAX and toolkit.. 1. Using Rounded corners sample 2. Add the following < asp : UpdatePanel ID ="UpdatePanel1" runat ="server"> < ContentTemplate > < asp : Button ID ="Button1" runat ="server" Text ="Button" OnClick ="Button1_Click" /> </ ContentTemplate > </ asp : UpdatePanel > 3. Press Button Page does a Postback, not call back? Note also explictly set < asp : ScriptManager ID ="ScriptManager1" EnablePartialRendering =true runat ="Server

For those interested, search google with H8013141e (the underlying issue with vs 2005 since its release).. PS: The bugs are still not fixed (as at SP1 beta), but are at least being worked on..

  • Re: Help Mikhail Arkhipov problem with Servicepack 1 vs.net 2005

Suspect it has to do with a) VB.NET, and b) large projects. Also see KB article on a hack for this problem as well.. Basically VB.Net gets confused and goes to sleep... fidding with the task manager seems to get it back to life..

  • Re: Help Mikhail Arkhipov problem with Servicepack 1 vs.net 2005

Search google for vs 2005 SP1 Believe the current record for vs 2005 SP1 (beta) is 20 hrs ( but thats not with such a basic system as you have mentioned so suspect this may never finnish).. Our experience for any decent application developmnet is 1G mem, and 2GHz processor, dont use dual cores as there is a know problem with vs 2005.. You can play and perhaps get away with less, but if the above you should be ok. Perhaps MSoft will do a proper release in the final version of SP1, rather than the

  • Re: MSoft Killing VB.NET?

Your are right, you cannot help.. The problems can only be fixed by MSoft.. But you are welcome to your opions, as is anyone else.. But to be honest these last two as realy are a waste of both our time. But as long as you feel better, I supose this is enough... What would help is: Someone from MSoft taking responibility to make vs 2005 and VB.Net work. This is not a unique enduser problem, it is fundermental flaw that has been well documented, and know about before the relase of vs 2005 last movember
