  • Re: Problems on install .net framework 2.0

It was good try. However, when I stop and restart the Windows Instrumentation Management service, I also have to stop and restart the Exchange Microsoft Exchange Management service. The first time, I rebooted the server and found the error logs were coming back. In the second time, I stopped and restarted those services. This time, I did not reboot, the errors only stopped a little while and then reappeared. Any ideas?

I talked to a Microsoft guy during a recent MS conference. He said if you install the SDK after the .Net framework installation, you will get the configuration link/shortcut. He did not know why. I had also noticed this before. I have not found any documentation on if we should get the short cut without install the SDK installation. Thanks.

I am sure if I run a clean installation of any of the current operating systems and the .Net Framework 2.0, they all should be fine ---these clean operating systems have been tested many times. But in reality, I don't want re-install (and configure!!!) the server operating systems every time when we got something new from Microsoft. A option left is to upgrade SBS 2000 to 2003. It, again, will take me some time to configure it so that the new system will at least match the services I already have

  • Re: Package Load Failure

Thanks ForrusMoth! You also soled my problem. What I did is select ALL files and in that "assembly" folder and then select "uninstall". This will uninstall all assemblies that are currently being used (in my case, it uninstalled about 300 some assemblies files and still have 400 some files will not be able to uninstall). After that, the VS 2005 is working! I "repair installed" the .Net Framework and VS 2005 (just in case I may missing something due to the uninstall assemblies). It is working great

I could not find the worker process. I think I removed ASPNET user and changed something in the machine.config file. I has been working fine with ASP.NET 1.0 and 1.1. Is that will be a problem for installing .Net Framework 2.0?

No ASP.Net left after the "aspnet_regiis -ua" - All gone! When I reinstalled .Net 2.0 Framework, the the system started generating the same errors.

The problem remains unsolved after the "aspnet_regiis -ua" and "aspnet_regiis -i -enable"!

Yes. I have .Net Framework 1.1 installed. If I remove that version of the .Net Framework, current (version 1.1) running application will stop working. I don't have any beta versions of the Framework installed on the server. The Application Log get full pretty quickly. It constantly generate the errors. Now I am trying to uninstall the version 2.0 Framework SDK and the Framework as you recommended. I am not sure if current running .Net Framework 1.1 and its update will cause any problem to version
