  • Re: Suggestions for vertically rendering +2 tab levels?

Hey that was the ticket. After getting over my paralysis of having to mess with CSS I successfully implemented the Snapsis CSSNavMenu which the Expand on Click works out perfectly. That and I found out John is a really nice guy who didn't mind answering some of my questions, Thanks John! -Ron

  • Re: Suggestions for vertically rendering +2 tab levels?

That is close, but not quite what I am trying to achieve. It would be more like the following (all tabs are vertical) Parent1 Parent2 Parent3 >Child1 >Child2 >Child3 >> Child3Sub1 [selected tab] >>Child3Sub2 >Child4 Parent4 Parent5 This shows the layout with three levels, Parent | Child | ChildSub When a Parent is selected it would render with the Child but not the ChildSub tabs. Parent1 Parent2 Parent3 [selected tab] >Child1 >Child2 >Child3 >Child4 Parent4 Parent5

  • Suggestions for vertically rendering +2 tab levels?

I need to display in a vertical menu the child tabs when the parent is the selected tab. I am looking at bi4ce's Navigator module which nearly does everything I need, minus that it states it only renders two levels. Anyone know of an add-on that does more than 2 levels? Thanks, Ron

  • Re: Dedicated Server DNN Success Stories

One thing that I would ask any company offering dedicated hosting is how 'dedicated' is it? With the stability and scalability of products like VMWare or even Virtual Server now, you might find an enterprising hosting company that is offering your own dedicated VM and not a physical hardware dedicated box. In theory this shouldn't really be that big of a deal, but if a host is offering a dual xeon box and all the goodies, are you the only one having access to the resources of that box or is that

  • Re: File Manager cannot handle large website sizes.

dhardie, Since this piece of code resides on a code behind page, it is compiled into the designated .dll. If you want to make changes to this you will need to recompile the source (which you have if you see the vb files) yourself and create a new .dll after making the changes. It is really just the front end pages that you can modify, save and then hit refresh to see changes. These will be the .ascx and .aspx pages. Although I have not tested it with 9GB, I have used successfully the Speerio File

  • Re: New DNN3 based site. Comments welcome

The images that make up the skin loaded one by one, slow enough that I got to see what the site looked like without the graphics. Aside from the slow loading, the layoutis real nice and has a sporty feel to it.

  • Re: Testers for Speerio Photo Viewer

Liorlustig, Are you offering to fund the development of a module with those specific requirements? You can stay up to date with Nik's always impressive modules on his website in the Speerio Forums . -Ron

  • Re: why dnn's performance is not good as other .net app? anyone agree with me?

adef, good points and from my experiance, correct order too. We recently became the new contract signers on a 10MB fiber drop from TWC to replace the 1.5MB T1 we had. Everything was faster, but the bigger CF and DNN sites that I had up prior to the switch came up like they were localhost or something after getting a bigger pipe. For somereason though I don't have the RAM issues alot of you have. All of my .Net web servers only have 2GB of RAM but I never go over a full 1GB and that is also with other

  • Re: QA Testers wanted for DotNetNuke

I have the ability to throw up different environments for testing (something I do with DNN for my own purposes anyways) quickly and welcome the opportunity to test for the group as a whole. -Ronald rward |@| internetcontrasts dot com

  • Re: Extremely SLOW.

greetings khanging, Perhaps it is more to do with your connection? I am in Texas, the DNN site is in Pheonix (18 hops) and it resolved for me inside 2 seconds. I don't really see this as being any reason to complain. Alternatively, the Snapsis site is much closer on the route as it is just north of texas in Oklahoma (15 hops) and it was noticeably slower loading. So many factors weigh into quick transmissions incoming/outgoing. It is usually a better method to try to do some troubleshooting on your
