Latest Update: Version 1.0.3 has now been released!

    *       Integrates with UserGroup module - users can now invite groups of users they have setup - eg. "My Friends" or "DNN Core Team"
    *       Localization of missed strings
    *       Added Setting for integration with Smart-Thinker UserProfiles
    *       Set Calendar View width to 100%

Latest Update: Version 1.0.2 has now been released!

    *       Anonymous Public Event viewing: Anyone can see the event (must login to subscribe or see guestlist)
    *       Administrator Role can now admin/edit events instead of Host
    *       Calendar view bug fix (events weren't displaying after scrolling)
    *       Localization of ModuleActions that were missed
    *       Some minor bugfixes

Hello. Please note that we have released version 1.0.1 and it has the following:

Public Event subscription: Anyone can see the event and subscribe to it
Upcoming Events Calendar View
Private Guest List - other invitees can't see who else is invited
Fully commented source-code
Other minor bug fixes and improvements

Thanks. Our goal was to make it an easy process yet highly functional (sorry - that sounds like marketing blurb ;)
Those lists are completely customizable - they are based stored in the core List functionality, so you can change the values to suit your type of business (or add more). If you have any specific requirements then let me know on the Forums and I can try to work them into the project plan - the main feature for version 1.1 seems to be public events - eg. anyone can sign up for it with an Event Creator approval process. We hope to have that up and running within a month for our subscribers to download!

Just tried out your module this morning...pretty nice and easy to use. Like where your headed with future enhancements. Any chance you'll include some 'business' related options or allow user customization of drop down menus for Type of Event, Category, Dress Code, and Event Status? We're looking for a full featured Events / Calendar module for our County government intranet portal.

<edit>Sorry - don't know what happened there - I am battling with FireFox and these forums - it erase my post!

It is scheduled for version 1.2, but it seems to be a sought after feature so I am seriously considering bringing it forward to 1.1. I hope to have it released within 2 months. You can see the Roadmap here (called Public and Private Events - Anyone can subscribe to the Event).

This module has been very well received and I plan on reshuffling the priority of items according to customer demand.

Users can create Events and invite people to attend. You can enter lots of information about an Event such as the dress code, category and related website. You can also specify the date and time and cost, as well as the location and directions and a map link to get there. Once the Event is approved, all invitees will receive an email invitation with the basic Event details, and they can log on to your website to see more information about the Event or to RSVP. The Event Creator will receive an email when they reply, and can monitor RSVP comments and manage the Guestlist.

This is live, working website, so you can even set up a real Event for you friends instead of trying to find all their email addresses for the next party!
