I removed the form tag and it works fine, but how do I get it to open in a new window?

I just wanted to mention that there is one more work-around:

- Put your PayPal form after the .NET form in the page.
- Enclose your PayPal form into an absolutelly positioned DIV (for example, <div style="POSITION: absolute; left:320px; top:770px"></div>)
- Use LEFT and TOP parameters of the DIV's style element to adjust where in the page the button needs to appear

Hi J7mitch, How are you!. I am new to dnn and i was able to develop a portal with the help of asp.net forum and core team members of dnn. I am having a difficulty getting the external websites into my portal. i tried iFrames, Lucast Htmlsfeed and so on. The problem i am experiencing is for example: i wanted to get www.xe.com/ucc (just the currency converter). I was able to get this by using HTML feed but when i click the button, the result of the currency converter will not show in the same page.so the currency converter page stays and it does not go to the result page. the same problem with the weather channel, metric conversion etc.

i hope you can help on this as you helped the guys who needed the paypal module. Thanks in advance.

"Thank-you for your kind words. Sounds like the converter is a web form. External web forms and ASP.Net webforms don't really go together. Your probably need a custom module or perhaps check around the forums as I think someone may have come up with a module that can post a form to another HTML form but I don't think it will fix up your need to bring it into your portal.

This may be something we can add as an enhancement at some point through some fancy javascript but does not currently exist.

Sorry I can't provide more information at the moment. If you are a developer and want to look at helping to create this functionality within HTMLFeed we'd be happy to have the assistance as our plates are quite full at the moment.

I appreciate the help, I am just getting into DotNetNuke and web programming. My background is database (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) and desktop apps. I have a bit of a learning curve so ai am happy for any help I can get!

That .jsp page might not like the __Viewstate field being posted to it. You may need to go with one of the code-behind options in this thread:

This looks like the normal PayPal buy now code.

Step 1. Remove the <Form> </Form> tags from your PayPal "Buy Now" code.
Step 2. Add onClick="document.getElementById('Form').action='https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr';" to the buy now input button

After doing that you should have something that looks more like what clmuppy posted.

Step 3. paste all of it into the html module

I had to edit the original post inorder for it to come out correctly.

I added the line you included above and it does redirect me to the correct page, but it does not include the values fromt eh three input fields. Therefore the page errors out because it is expecting the parameters. Not sure if this makes any sense.here is the code I have now.

Also when I save this code and then click on edit text in the Module drop down box it fires the onclick event above. :o) Kinda strange.

I am converting a site to DotNet Nuke and have a similar problem. Here is the code I have so far if you could lend a hand I would greatly appreciate it

Hi I am running the latest version 3.0.13 and this does not work for me unless I am missing something? When you click on the button it doesnt do anything. What am I missing?
