A couple weeks ago I was able to reproduce it on my pc by doing some crazy things. Put the menu on a site that is a slow server, load a VPC instance with Windows98 on it, make sure the Check for new versions of stored pages is set to Automatically, and make sure I am hovering over a menu during page load. This would allow me to get the error in 1 of every 10 or so requests. It appears to be a combination of things that causes the error, one of which is slow page loading...

The good news is I was able to track down what was causing it for me and am on longer able to get the error (even without setting the delaysubmenuload). The bad news is that it was not in time to make the DNN 3.1 release. However, you can get version 1.6.1.0 from my site and try it for yourself.

Re: IE Displays "Operation Aborted" Error while browsing site in DNN 3.0.10

I suspect no one will now be reading this thread, but for what it's worth:

- problem occurs on my hosted site (with WebHost4Life - presumably Win2K3) but does not happen on my test server (Win2K) from the same IE6 client - so is not purely IE-related
- only happens when accessing the Gallery (latest download dated 14 June)
- happens with any of the standard DNN skins - horizontal or vertical menus

Haven't tried the delay 'fix' yet.

Jon

Re: IE Displays "Operation Aborted" Error while browsing site in DNN 3.0.10

This issue is still reproduceable on version 3.0.13

This error ONLY occurs when you are logged in as Admin or Host.

Re: IE Displays "Operation Aborted" Error while browsing site in DNN 3.0.10

I had the same issue and had to put 'true' in the skin.

Re: IE Displays "Operation Aborted" Error while browsing site in DNN 3.0.10

This seemed to work for me in the skin index.ascx file:

<dnn:MENU runat="server" id="dnnMENU" Display="Horizontal" DelaySubmenuLoad="true" ...
