Didnt test the other browser.

I am glad that it helps. However, I would not recommend to use private variable. Since you are going to loose value of ColorPicker after postback. Let's say you have some kind of server side validation of the form. After postback it would be cleared out unless you progrmmatically set it back.

I do understand, Viktar. But the ViewState variable was somehow not cutting it for me within the SharePoint environment... and also the private variable of the web control which is populated on the property set and populating the property during a property set is working well so far, touch wood. So I would remember this comment of yours, but then again, thanks for the code for the control as such. Have a great weekened. :)

Thanks Viktar for this nifty little color picker control. I have modified it slightly and am using this within SharePoint in a custom Editor Part for one of the custom Web Parts. One major thing I change is the way Color property is being stored in the control, rather than using a ViewState variable I use a private string variable within the ColorPicker class.

It actually started from previous post. I recommended yahoo control and then thought that this control is not good enough.

It's really a pleasure for me to know that somebody recommends my control :-).

No need to run here and there. If you are looking for some free ASP.NET control. Get it from - http://www.codeproject.com/KB/selection/ColorPicker.aspx

Download the CustomControl and compile it. You will get the DLL

Using DLL

1. <%@ Register Assembly="CustomControls" Namespace="CustomControls" TagPrefix="cc1" %>

2. <cc1:colorpicker id="ColorPicker1" runat="server"></cc1:colorpicker>

3. To get the color - ColorPicker1.Color

Thanks to Viktar Karpach to putting it on this site. I had tried 10 controls and end up using this one.
