That is not (at this point) a problem with this client.

Yes, a different browser has seemed to solve the problem with all the users that have reported back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the rest will also be able to logon. I'll post up if there are still problems.

Thanks again for the help.

Were you able to get your Sharepoint working for your MAC users using a different browser ?

Re: User Authentication Problems with MAC client

Well that is interesting. All of the accounts are domain accounts, and I haven't had that problem with any users other than MAC users. Are you saying that you can't use a domain account to logon over the internet?

Both Basic and Windows Authentication are enabled on the server, so I thought it would automatically negotiate the appropriate method.

I've heard on other boards that IE on MAC is no longer supported by MS and it was suggested that I have MAC users use another browser such as FireFox or Safari. This has seemed to solve the problem for most of the MAC users. I'm waiting to hear back from the rest.

Thanks,

If the user login prompt includes the "domain" input field, then it is trying to use NTLM which will not work across the Internet/thru firewalls, etc. or from a Mac.

Re: User Authentication Problems with MAC client

Nope! :(

Both Basic and Windows Authentication are set in IIS6.0. The username and password work from MS clients. When going to the site, she gets prompted for the Username, Password and Domain, but all that happens is that she gets an "Unauthorized to view..." message.

Does Services for Macintosh need to be installed on the Windows 2003 Box? Does the User Authentication Module need to be installed on the Mac client?

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
