I have seen numerous posters in these forums defend not wanting to post their clients domain due to "security issues"

are these websites or intranets? Don't most people put sites on the internet to get as many people as possible to go to them, isn't traffic a good thing for a website? Do your clients track what users go to their site and not use your services in the future because you are sending "non-qualified" traffic to their site?....

1) i never had acc. with serversea and don't know what is going on with them - so no help here

- if your budget is between $5-$10 i strongly recommend http://www.reliablesite.net/
- if your budget is about $20/m / site go with CrystalTech - it is really good host
- other solution for you might be WebHost4life

Yeah, sql server databases are hosted on a dedicated server and not the same as the web server. Even the email and the dotnetpanel servers are dedicated.

Thanks for checking. But ping is jumping like crazy (sometimes i cant login with my enterprise manager - sql connection error).

What should i told to support that they need to separate DBs?

For me the ping results were:

Also, they must be hosting sql 2000 dbs on separate dedicated server and hence that shouldn't be an issue. You can check back with them.

If you are having something else to discuss other than the topic posted by OP, you can open a new thread and follow the T & C of this forum. I believe, the forum is meant for assisting and not for offending. Jagsy has assisted the OP by providing the experience with serversea and some recommendations as sought by the OP.

And if you go through my post, I have answered to the best of my knowledge as I hosted with serversea but without any issues as the OP is facing. I was really happy with their service and cheap rates. As for advertising softsys, I am not advertising them.. I am just recommending them as I am currently softsys's fan as it is complementing my development (coding) work and I am able to provide complete solutions to my clients and that is earning me good!

BTW, I am a fan of discountasp, wh4l too. And as per the reviews of the customers, Reliablesite seems to be very good too. I would like to try out the services of Reliablesite too whenever I get a project that needs clustered hosting solutions as it is a solution that singles out you guys.

Just out of curiosity, what domain did you have hosted with serversea? The reason I ask is because every single one of your posts does not directly answer the questions asked by the OP and always advertises softsys. So please provide a domain, I'd love to check the DNS history of the domain to see where it was located -- and if I'm in the wrong you have nothing to worry about.

I was previously hosting my website with serversea and it was pretty good that time (around 1.5 years back). However, it was not meeting my needs as they are still with MS-SQL 2000 dbs and I needed MS-SQL 2005. I am currently hosting with Softsys hosting and it is working great for me for couple of my projects. You can get lots of hosting companies in $5-$10 / month like discountasp, wh4l, etc. However, I would recommend Softsys if it meets your needs.

Hi all. Im new on this forum. Before 2 month i buyed hosting package from serversea+ mssql 100mb.

Loading was pretty good ping was ok. But now ping is very big its 50% of time i cant get into my site.

heres some stats from ping:

Same was whole week, Any one else has some problems wit this hoster? They "live" support sometimes i need to wait up to hour! To they respond.

They also have 62 DBs on same sql hosting (maybe this is the problem ?)

Maybe some one can recomend good hosting ?(5-10$ + mssql). sorry for bad english.
