&lt;p&gt;I have using SQL Server 2000.how to overcome the above problem.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;how to sured SMTP Connection&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I tried on Commant prompt - telnet SMTP Server 25 &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;it replies 220 ESMTP ESMTP means SMTP Connection is available.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;please suggest solution on same.&lt;/p&gt;

Since in that I cant help bcooz unless ur mail settings are correct it wont work. To test my sp use ur gmail acccount&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;with following settings&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Server smtp.gmail.com&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;User = your email&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pass Your Pass&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Port 465&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;check it it will work&lt;/p&gt;
