&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3 times I did it, and on the 3rd time it just worked.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I had tried doing the regiis -i and adding aspx and asmx extensions and they didnt work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;i have the same problem today and tried on google i got to this thread with the same prob as i have ..&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;i tried all the wayts posted in here but could not succeed .&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;but when i go to IIS and browse the particular .asmx page its opening..where as when i go to the physical location and opened it with IE ..its giving the same error..&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;but i don't have any case sensitive issues b.coz i am goin to the page folder and openiong .asmx file with the IE .i m getting the error unable to open xml input...&lt;/p&gt;
