I would like the views to change based on some user property. For example all users in Company “A” get one layout and all users in Company “B” get another layout.

My initial thought was to add multiple aspnet_application records and switch the ApplicationName on the fly based on the user's company. I can manually switch between shared layouts by changing the application name in web.config. However, I have been unsuccessful at changing the ApplicationName dynamically. I have been looking for a property similar to Membership.ApplicationName for web parts. The closest I have been able to find is PersonalizationAdministration.ApplicationName but changing this property seems to have no effect.

Can the webparts application name be dynamically changed? Any other approaches I should be trying?
