It looks like template is missing. Did you install Windows development components when installing VS (i.e. is it custom or default setup)? Check the the file exists and is readable. Try also running devenv /installvstemplates from command line. Repairing installation may also help.

Here is the message that pops up in a dialog box

could not find a part of the path 'C:\programs files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\ Common 7\IDE\ProjectTemplatesCache\VisualBasic\Widows\1033\WindowsApplication.Zip\windowsapplication.vstemplate'.

Hi I am having this error message pop up when I try to create a new windows project. I normally use visual studio 2005 for web development but it as if if got use to the web portion and does not want to do any other type of work I tried to open other projects other than a web project. Can anyone help with an answer?
