For only designing purposes, the only prerequisite is Expression Blend(An easy to use application, if you are well versed with Adobe Flash CS3 IDE , you will get along very easily.)

Now the scripting part..

You use actionscript on the flash side , we use C#.Net or VB.Net in silverlight!

U should have idea to work with.Web Blend expression for designing Issues.

Hello Everyone,

Silverlight needs programming knowledge to be learned?
I mean a graphic designer who is used to work on Golive and Flash (basic flash) can learn silverlight or he needs to know Dot Net as a prerequisite.
