I've installed the packed on Vista and it works great!

Thanks for all of the follow-up with me on this. This issue is a real scenario blocker for us and if we can get our hands on the release versions of the packaged fixes (we have beta versions that work great but have been told not to relase them by Microsoft) that would be very helpful. Can we be notified when they are published?

Hi Brian,

We are testing the packaged fixes now, and if there are no problems then they may downloadable earlier, but that is not a sure thing so you should not bet the farm on it.

Thanks for the update. Will there be an option for users to download a hotfix prior to the GDR? Mid-Feb is a real tough pill for us to swallow. Thanks.

A GDR containing the fix is scheduled to be broadly distributed over Windows Update in mid February, and should be automatically installed on machines running the affected versions of WPF.

Yes, any update or ETA on this? We currently have the "service" running as a console app using .net.tcp as a workaround, but that isn't as stable as a service.

Still no news? We heard there was a fix going through several weeks ago. This issue is litterally holding up the release of our flagship product...I can't tell you how badly we need this to get resolved. I know Microsoft is working dilligently on this and so all I can do is plead our situation and hope this will be resolved soon. If not, I need to know.

Hi Gerhard.

I e-mailed you privately 3 or 4 days ago about testing the fix that you mentioned. I apologise for the follow-up in this thread, but at this stage I'm not sure if the messages even got through to you.

This is extremely urgent for us, and I basically need a fix within the next couple of days!

Thanks so much for looking into this for all of us, and please let me know how I can get my hands on that fix!! :-P

Glad to hear a fix is in testing. Our solution requires SQL2008, which requires 3.5sp1...so you see the circularity here ;-)

I will contact you privately for a test drive.
