I have just downloaded the latest Silverlight Tools (Silverlight 3 --- and I should mention probably that I have not previously downloaded any Silverlight stuff). This is the latest and greatest and yet I don't see a XAML designer either.

When I load up a WPF solution and open a XAML file there, I get a designer. Is there some additional setting I need to make for a Silverlight app to show the same designer that I see in a WPF app?

Re: Where is the xaml designer?

Unfortunately, the tools are minimal and there's no designer. It's something that we put together quickly to give some priliminary support for Silverlight. For now, your best bet is to use "Microsoft Expression Studio" if you need a designer.

Re: Where is the xaml designer?

I just did a clean install of everything including the tools and still I have no designer inside Orcas?

thanks

Re: Where is the xaml designer?

I think you need to download and install the tools. Try this URL: http://silverlight.net/QuickStarts/Start/CreateProject.aspx and see if you have everything installed.

Where is the xaml designer?

I want to add some silverlight stuff to my application - I tried a silverlight project and a web project but do "I have to" use expression blend now to edit xaml files?
