i dont want full postback

Ajax control Tool kit Extenders not working after deployment

Hi,

I have recently deployed one application in web server, I have used Ajax control tool kit extenders CalendarExtender and AutoComplete Extender. Both these extenders works good in local where as it does not work on the server.

I have dot net frame work 2.0 installed in my machine & the server supports applications developed in version 2.0, I have used the Ajax control tool kit dll in the application & added to my codebehind page like this,

fade out is not working for modalpopupextender

Hi! I have this code that i found online and tweaked it to include the fade out, i stepped thru the code and commented out the line that hides the popup, then i could see the fade out working but the modal background didnt disapear, when i leave that line alone the modalpopupextender just closes and no chance to see the fade out. Here is the complete page.

Does the HTMLEditor control raise any client-side events?

When using the HTMLEditor that's part of the AJAX Control Toolkit, I would like to be able to hook something like the onkeyup event so that I could display a running character count, etc. It seems that the control incorporates a textarea element inside an iframe. When I try to attach events to the textarea element, tho, the corresponding handler is never invoked. (This does work for just a normal textarea control.) Any ideas? Thx,

AsyncFileUpload Issues - strange case

Hi Guys & Gals, I've signed up as I'm in need of some help!

I am trying to use the Ajax:AsyncFileUpload tool on a site I am building. I have an AsyncFileUpload within an UpdatePanel, within a Modal Popup, on a page which has a MasterPage (which contains the only ScriptManager on the site).

Right, so if youve got that, the OnClientUploadComplete method works a treat, the OnUploadedComplete doesnt work for toffee! I have put a break point on the start of this sub and it doesn't get hit.

Any ideas?

Problem with the sizing the ValidatorCalloutExtender

I have a problem with the ValidatorCalloutExtender

the ValidatorCalloutExtender way to long. I want it to be a small width, but the default width size is too long,

so I have to scroll all the way to the right to click x botton.

Does anyone know how to set the width of ValidatorCalloutExtender??

I have an AutoCompleteExtender in a GridView that contains over 150 records. When I run the page, I get the following error:

"Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.
If it continues to run, your computer might become
unresponsive."

I'm using the ToolkitScriptManager with CombineScripts="true", LoadScriptsBeforeUI="true", but no luck. Anyone have any luck speeding up this process?

I have the following "menu" I have to make.

My problem is, I have no clue how to do it. If I use a accordion to do the "top" I don't know how to make pages (at the bottom of the picture) - like the print screen you can see. If I use a gridview to make the pages I don't know how to make the slide down, when you click on the red arrow).

Have anyone of you an idea how I can make the above "menu"?

Hello,

I'm trying to make a modalPopupExtender that displays the details of a person that is selected in a radio button list.
After the user selected someone he can click on a button (details) to view the ModulPopupExtender panel.

Is it possible to use vb code to view(open en close) the panel?
rather than using the TargetControlID="btnDetail" OkControlID="okbutton2" CancelControlID="cancelbutton2"

Because I want that my button Detail loads all the user details in the txt fields in the panel.

Or is is maybe possible to use just the panel and some CSS code to get a 70% black color over my page with in the center my popup?

AsyncFileUpload (upload without button click)

Hi guys,

I am trying to display selected file to a user right after he selects. Which means I have to save it to a temp location and change image src (or ImageUrl if we are talking about asp:Image).

And I am trying to use AsyncFileUpload (from Ajax Toolkit) for that. Apparently it has "OnUploadedComplete" server event, but sadly it isn't working.

I have following code in code behind:

       fuTest.SaveAs(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath + "\\Upload\\Hip\\" + fuTest.FileName);

        imgTest.Src = "Upload/Hip/" + fuTest.FileName;

I also have a button which onClick calles the same method... and it works if button is pressed, but it doesn't work automatically... Any ideas or different solutions for this problem?

Ajax Editor Extension

Hi All,

I am using the HTML editor and it si working fine. What i want to be able to do is to get the HTML srouce of what is entered within the editor?

I can get the content by using:

Label.Text = Editor.Content

But this displays the text as it is entered within the editor, i want to have the HTML text that is shown when you view the source?

For example image if TEST was enalbed in the editor in bold, i want to grab the HTML which would look like: <b>TEST</b>??

Can anybody advise how i can do this?

Behind the 3 on the left i have a panel. What I want to do is when drptest.selectvalue != "please select"

Then slide that panel over to the right hand side over the other 3 drop down menus please help

AjaxControlToolkit and multiple collapsible panel extenders problem

Hi, I'm using multiple collapsible panel (AjaxControlToolkit). The goal is to have one horizontal panel and two vertical panels like this

so I should be able to collapse or expand each one of them. I've done this, but the problem is that when I'm moving over the vertical panel it seems to move and flash.
Can anyone help me with this please?

I want to know if the control's bevahiour can be altered such that it displays the messages in languages other than english. And I am talking about the message's that are automatically displayed as per the setting specified for MinimumNumericCharacters, MinimumSymbolCharacters properties.

I am able to translate the tests in TextStrengthDescriptions property.

hi guys,

its been a while since i post something here... well here is my problem...

its been months since i used asp.net... and im back with it but my mind wont recall everything i learn... so i guess i back a little from the start...

i cant figured it out how to get the imagebutton control from a datalist itemtemplate to be recognized in the modalpopupextender as a target control id... i know i should use findcontrol but it doesnt fix the problem... or the modal didnt show...

i used datalist to show images from the list of files and display it using imagebutton.. and when i click an image button... a modal pop up will show the original size of that image... any ideas?

PasswordStrength Position Problem

I have run into some problems with the PasswordStrength demonstration:

Basically, if you start typing a new password, the password strength indicator pops up. This is good. However:

1) If you resize the page after the indicator shows, it stays in an absolute position and is not relative to the original location.

2) It always shows up to the right side of the associated text box rather than being in the position of where the control is defined (I need my strength indicator in another location).

3) If you click on the strength indicator, it disappears

Does anyone know how to fix this (at least #1 and #2)?

I'm confused. I wanted to install the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit, but the download link takes you to the ASP.NET Ajax Library. Is the ASP.NET Ajax Library a replacement for the toolkit? Should I use this instead?

If I should use the ASP.NET Ajax Library, can someone tell me how to make the controls part of WS2008?

TabContainer is just invisible

Hi,

this is the first time I work with the Ajax toolkit.

I want to put a TabContainer on my Usercontrol, with three tabs.

It works, it is rendered but it just doesn't show.

It keeps having the inline style definition 'visibility:hidden'.

Does anyone know how to remove this?

Controlling animationextender move behavior

Hi,

I am using AnimationExtender from a hover on an image to cause a gallery of images to move to the left. I want the following effects:

1. The gallery, which is an asp:TableRow with each asp:TableCell containing an asp:ImageButton, is somewhere in the middle of the page. Currently, the gallery can be seen running off to the end of the browser window on the left (when I scroll to the left through this animation). I want the gallery to move only within its containing tablerow. What is the easiest way to do this?

2. How can I get the gallery to scroll uniformly when my cursor is hovering on the navigation image? Currently, it can be set to move by some amount (horizontal="-500", for example), after which I have to move the mouse out of the nav image and then back in to continue moving.
