Finally i choose the last option of the Deployment ("Create a separate assembly for each page and control output"), whit this the deplolyment makes the site like if i publish the site.

I tested my setup and works fine now.

The scenario of the server was Win 2003 server, framework 2.0, ajax beta (When the dll's used to have the namespaces Microsoft.Web:Extensions) instaled on the server but the site use the dll's of the new ajax, IIS 6.

Hopes this will be helpful for someone.
i had a published website and web application project containing some ascx controls and the dll of the published web application project these ascx controls will be loaded at runtime in the website

The problem:

When the website was published ..The "make this website updatable " option was not marked so the published version of my web application project couldn't be merged with the website at runtime

Solution:

If u have the same problem make sure to choose make this website updatable when publishing

Re: Web Deployment Project - "has not been pre-compiled"

I've gotten this error (X has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested) due to the fact that .NET 2.0 Service Pack 1 is not installed.
This error will come when a reference is specified in web.config and deployment folder/site does not contain these dlls installed in the system or bin folder does not contain them(if they are private assemblies).
For Ex:

that problem reminds me error i faced, i guess you also added reference to cr dll after deploying. ideally when we deploy application we create setup project and include bin folder in that, so automatically dll are added. in your case i think you added it later hence the problem.

I thought I'd share my solution in case anyone else was in a similar situation as me.

I had a happy, functional, live ASP.NET site.

I created an .aspx page which used a 'ReportViewer' control. Once this page was added to the live project, I got the horribly unhelpful "..has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested" error on all pages (other than the default page).

The cause was: the reference to Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms.dll

The reference was working on my development server, but not my production server. I found the .dll on the development server, added the .file to the \bin directory of the live site, everything worked beautifully (without any recompilation or anything).

There may be cleaner ways of fixing it, but that one worked for me

Re: Web Deployment Project - "has not been pre-compiled"

Hi there,

I am having exactly the same problem.
It gives this errors for most of the pages in a project....
