New Release of WAP (April 7, 2006)

I just want to let you know we released a new version of WAP on Friday, April 7, 2006. This version contains a single fix for a bug found when editing a content page based on a master page -- the control variables were not being generated properly in the content page's designer file which meant you could lose your new controls if you switched back to the content page.

This bug was deemed serious enough to release a fixed binary -- we ask that you download the latest version and install it.

Checking the Version Number

If you are unsure if you have the latest version, you can check the version with these steps:

Open the Control Panel
Choose "Add or Remove Programs"
Select "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Web Application Projects".
In the expanded entry, choose "Click here for support information".
This will show a dialog with the version number for WAP -- the latest is 8.0.60406
Close the dialog and then exit "Add or Remove Programs"
