Disabling partial rendering is not really an option as my SM is in the Master page and so would be site wide.....strange this is i have exact pages that dont have a problem.

At least i know its not me going mad!!!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Menu Adapter with Update Panel and gridview

We've gotten another, similar report already. I'm working with that person privately and in conjunction with members of the Atlas team. I'm betting the problem you are hitting is due to the same thing. I'll try to post something later in this thread when we have it sorted out and have something for you to try as a true fix.

Meanwhile, I can suggest a possible work-around. If you are seeing the problemt that I think you are seeing, you can temporarily work around it by setting EnablePartialRendering="false" on your <atlas:ScriptManager> tag. I'm aware that this compromises the goodness delivered by Atlas. It is a work-around for the moment, not a fix.

I'll be in touch.

Menu Adapter with Update Panel and gridview

Hi Russ, i have another problem!!! ;-D

I have a really weird problem. I am using the menu adapter and on one of my pages i have a updatepanel with a gridview inside.....i find i get an error (js-object expected) when i select a row in the gridview....however when i 'turn off' the adapter i dont have a problem.

However i have other pages that have the same setup and they work fine with the adapter and update panel/gridview setup.
I notice that when i view source i cant see any of the markup for the gridview.....which i assume is why i get an object expected error as the LinkButton on the row with the command=select called linkUser is not there???

Again, this is true on other pages where i have this setup???
I also have the cascading drop down control on the page which i have disabled and still get the error....the only way to clear the error is to stop using the Adapter???

Any ideas?

Steve
