managed to find that out myself eventually, wasted an entire afternoon trying to track down aspnet_setsql.exe, even phoned microsoft. The guy who wrote this blog got it wrong

Hi,

actuall aspnet_regsql.exe is the tool to use. I used it on my laptop and it worked great.

its not there, the nearest program i have to that is

aspnet_regsql.exe

Ive done a complete scan of my system and nothing shows up. Is there anything else I need to install ?

Hi,

it ships with the .NET 2.0 framework. Take a look at this folder

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727

im trying to set up theclub site starter kit and am following PS Scott Guthrie's example and he mentions running aspnet_setsql.exe to setup membership and role data in the database (im using a SQL server 2000 DB). My problem is I cant find this app anywhere on my system, a full search releals nothing. I have both visual studio .net 2003 & 2005 installed. Anyone have any ideas wher it could be ?
