WAIT! before you go making assumptions that a single username is not able to be a part of many portals, let me suggest a test for you to determine how this change really will affect you: a single username is able to be used in many child portals, or in the
main portal. it only exists in the membership provider a single time, but you can in fact be the same user in many portals. the change is that each user now has its own userID, but the username is the same. try making two portals in the same db, then register
on both using the demo demo name and password. all i was saying is that you cannot switch between portals without logging in a second time for the new portal, that is all. so really, it is not a humungous deal.
