Thanks for the suggestion. However, considering that email notifications are queued for processing, it's likely that any post routed to moderation would be reviewed and approved before the email is sent/received.
Also, email notifications are sent when posts are deleted. If you did not receive an error while posting, you should assume that the post did not dsiappear permanently into the ether.
Since the time you originally posted this, we've made multiple improvements to spam identification, posting, and moderation. So you should not find this to be a pain point moving forward.
