Because all MVC development groups are building their own set of controls. In any case, all controls are based on HTML and JavaScript. Guys from jQuery did all this dirty job in JavaScript. The only thing you have to do is to write proper HTML and assign the jQuery functions on it. that's is it. For the grids, I recommend to use jqGrid. Cheers
