The difference being that each component is designed to work with a specific gateway. We have started off with the popular ones and will continue to grow this list. Authorize.Net is a very good company and our AuthNet component will do exactly what you need. Our process is 100% transparent to your clients and you have full control over the credit card process. Authorize.Net (As well as most of the gateways) will store the customer information and credit card on their servers as well should you not want to store this sensitive data on your site. You will still want a SSL Cerftificate for the site to keep the whole checkout (payment) process sercure. Hope this Helps
