My understanding is that there isn't a direct replacement for FrontPage. You will choose to migrate to one of several toolsets depending upon your primary focus:
Visual Web Developer / Visual Studio -- These are available today for ASP.NET 2.0 and would be the choice if your work is primarily programmer/application centric.
Microsoft Expression Line - Three new products (Expression Graphics, Expression Interactive, Expression Web) some are in CTP preview, none are released. I'm not sure Microsoft would condone the comparison but Graphics is sort of like PhotoShop, Interactive
is sort of like Flash, and Web is sort of like Dreamweaver.
Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007 - This is probably the closest to a direct replacement for FrontPage, but it focuses on sites that are running using SharePoint (the new version in Office 12) so it is probably similiar to FrontPage 2003 + SharePoint today
in that it gives direct access to all the SharePoint lists, functions, and extra features. I haven't seen this yet, so I don't know whether you could use it on regular sites that only have FrontPage server extensions or even just FTP publishing. I have not
heard about a CTP release yet for this tool?
Voicegateway.com Web Services offers shared, dedicated, and now VIRTUAL MACHINE HOSTING for ASP.NET, ASP.NET 2.0 "SQL Server 2005, Windows SharePoint Services, & More..
