    Hi,

Today has born a new GoogleMaps control for ASP.NET 2.0, based on the last version of the GoogleMaps API.

This control has it own website (googlemaps.subgurim.net), with examples, download section, installation instructions...

It's in spanish, but the code examples doesn't understand about languages Stick out tongue

Try it and give me your opinion!!

    Hi,
a new version of googlemaps.subgurim.net has just been released. It's major change is the new GeoCoding feature (extremely easy to use).

    Take a look at: googlemaps.subgurim.net

Hello Subgurim I use your control on my website, it works great and with some custom code I am able to tracking my car directly online.

I would like to purchase a commercial license for my website, however I am not able to read Spanish that well.

     Kind regards Willem.

Also another point, the control references maps.google.com because of this I couldn't use dutch geocoding information maps.google.nl, I have written a special page class that solves this.
But it might be a point of intrest for you.

    Hi Willem,

    Thanks for your interest!

I'm working on a multilanguage Microsite (begging with English, of course)

Here is a little English explanation: http://googlemaps.subgurim.net/foro/mejoras-post554.aspx

Most of the license owners are doesn't have any idea of spanish, and they had not any problem to purchase. These are the basic steps:

    - Register on the web

    - Go to the "Licencias" section.

    - Select your preferred license (http://googlemaps.subgurim.net/foro/mejoras-post554.aspx)

    - Press on "comprar ahora" under the selected license.

    - You will enter at Paypal System, so follow the steps.

    - When you finish the payment, you would automatically have a license (it can delay some minutes). You should enter another time to the "License" section, and you will find that it has changed. Now, there's is a text box on which you should enter your primary domain name. (for example, I have one primary domain name (subgurim.net) an some other subdomains (www.subgurim.net, googlemaps.subgurim.net, fileuploadajax.subgurim.net, sitemap.subgurim.net, etc).

    - Press on "generar" and a commercial key would be generated. You will see it at the gridview below.

    - You should apply this commercial key to your control (you can do it foreach control or configure it on your web.config: http://googlemaps.subgurim.net/ejemplos/ejemplo_10000_CommercialKey.aspx)

Please, if you have any doubt Ask it on the forums (foros -> ayuda -> iniciar mensaje)

Yes, of course it interest me!!

But it is rare, because I used Spanish and French geoCoding without any problem!!

Can you put here your code or do you prefer to mail me (view my profile)?

Please do not put the code here; this forum is for announcements.   Email would be the better place.

    Hey subgurim,

Your site looks like it is down, for two days now, are you still in business?

I have your control on my site, but i don't have the documentation which I need.

Your Map control works great, But your Gearth Control has problems with the baloons or infowindow, they are too large and info in them is cut off. I know it is not your fault as google is working on this, But I know you can fix this your self too as not all Gearth controls have this problem, just yours and a couple of others. I think it is in the way you call you infowindows.

    Please help me.

    subgurim,

Great Control thank you very much. The more you know how to use it the more it becomes obvious how much thought you put into it. I like it very much.

When the Earth layer is enabled and a marker is clicked on the map, the earth repositions a bit to create room for the infowindow, but only if the map canvas is small (400px by 600px). I know that this happens when the map is built using Google's own code from their samples as well.

Do you think there is anything that can be done to prevent this from happening?

The above mentioned behavior does not occur on .htm pages, only .aspx pages. I think there might be some event that triggers this behavior on the .aspx page

Based on the above, I believe my post is relavent to this forum as someone else may have input.

If I am incorrect, I apologize.

    Thanks,

You are incorrect and we accept your apology Smile

    1. This is the announcements forum, it is not for trouble-shooting problems.
    2. You are working with a third party control, you'll have much better luck on the site that supports the control.  The site that subgurim asked you to post to.
    3. This is a very old thread (2 1/2 years)  necro-posting is generally frowned on.
