I recently went to the WDP home page:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/reference/infrastructure/wdp/default.aspx
and the word "beta" is not mentionned now, should I conclude WDP is no more in beta ?

That is correct. We have found WDP to be both stable and useful to developers right now, so we don't plan to release another speedboat release. Our plan is to integrate WDP functionality into the next major release of Visual Studio.
Thanks!
