I have a DNN 4.0.2 running and created a new child portal.  The new Admin account can add modules all day long, but when I go to modify the settings to make the module inherit view permissions from page it kicks me to the login page.  I've been fighting this problem for several days now with no means to resolve it.  Please help!

    Can you try this...

Login and click on your admin name.
I think (no warranty at all) that this happens cause fields checked by default are empty.
Either uncheck fields marked with an asterisk or enter sumthin in the fields.

Hoping you won't fight this problem for several more days.

I have tried filling in all text boxes leaving the check marks checked AND I also removed all the check marks.  Same thing.  This is a bug and it persists on my home network as well as my intranet at work so I'm not losing my mind. Will someone please acknowledge this or PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me correct it!

Someone at least tell me you're NOT having this problem with W2K3 SP1, IIS 6.0, ASP .NET 2.0 and DNN 4.0.2 (SQL 2K running on an external box).  Throw me something!

I do not have this problem on my test copy of 4.0.2 (on W2K though).

Good information to know. It could be an IIS 6.0 or W2K3 issue then.  I hope others contribute to help isolate it or at least help us learn what we're doing wrong.

No. It's happening again here, and my OS is Win 2k Pro.

I noticed that the issue occurs if I delete IE files.
Can you try to delete your temporary internet files and try to login as child portal admin?

Not being able to login as child portal admin is not what I would call a minor bug.
I'd be glad to know the point of view of a Core Team Member, please.
And I'd be more than happy to be totally wrong.
