    Anybody know why the release.config file isn't just named web.config by DNN?  It seems like a pointless step to rename it for every user that downloads the package if they could just name it web.config to begin with.

    It's done like that so you dont accidentally copy over your web.config file.  You have to rename it and copy over the machine keys.  It's a precautionary measure that we have found works very well.
