    Hi!

We deployed HMC 3.0 for Hosted Exchange and now want to upgrade to HMC 3.5. We have no clustering server (MPS or SQL).

Some steps in the documentation do not exceed our system and not clear enough. These steps are from USP.16 to USP.24 under the section Upgrade MPS Sample Web Client. Can we ignore these steps? Why should the Transaction Log Database be removed from MPS01?

    Best Regards

    Cicek

The Transaction Log Service must be on the MPS SQL server.  It just needs to be placed wherever the SQL instance hosting the MPS databases live, clustered or not.  You are not required to use the MPS Sample Web Client, so yes you can ignore that section if you desire.  Its just a sample tool so you can verify the environment is working.
