The source download for version 3.1.1 does not appear to include most of the modules that I was expecting to find under the DesktopModules folder (e.g. Text/HTML, Events, Announcements, etc.).  Consequently some of the VS.NET solutions in the Solutions folder (e.g. DotNetNuke. All, DotNetNuke.Modules) will not load.

I believe that the plan has been to de-integrate the modules from the core and make them available as separate projects, however, though I see that there are now separate DNN projects for all the modules that used to be part of the core, many of those projects (Text/HTML, Links, Images, are some that I checked) do not have any files available for download.

Is there somewhere that the source code for all the the "core" modules (er..modules formerly known as "core modules"?) can be downloaded?  Or do we just have to wait until the various project leaders get around to posting files for the projects that do not currently have files available?

Sorry to bump my own post here, but due to all the activity around the 3.2/4.0 release, this ended up on page 4 before the day event started.  Anybody know where to download the old source code package that included the DNN modules?

If you downloaded the Source archive, then look in the \Install\Module directory.

The Install/Module folder contains what appear to be PA's for the DNN modules.  Though they all include the word "Source" in their name, none of the zip archives that are there seem to include any source code (just the .ascx files and .dll files).  And yes, I did download the source package, not the install package.

Sorry if I'm missing something here.  I can't install it at the moment so I'm just examining the downloadable zip archive.  The source code for the core is all there where you'd expect it to be, but the source code for modules seems to be missing.

When you install a module, any .Resources file included in the module's .Zip get unpacked.  The .Resources file is just a renamed .Zip itself.  Typically .Resources contains the codebehind, localizations, images, etc...

    Ahh...

Thank you very much for enlightening me about the .resources files.  I now see that the source code and associated files for each module is in the .resources file included in the .zip archive for that module in the Install/Module directory.

    Thanks again.
