It has been a long time since I have posted in the forums, and I want to apologize to the community for what happened with BlackJacket Software. For those of you who don’t know I was the former president of BlackJacket Software who sold the Alternative dataproviders (MySQL, and Oracle). Unfortunately I had also made a bad business decision when I named someone I shouldn’t have as my Vice-President. This turned out to be my fist mistake. Then I told the Core team that my company would handle the writing of the Access Dataprovider for 3.0 unfortunately things were heating up on the inside of my company’s work load we had now grown to over 5 fulltime developers and the work load was much greater than we could handle. One thing I would recommend to anyone leading a project who is a developer as well. Don’t make your time estimates based on your skill levels. Make it based on your teams skill level and also don’t take over the tough tasks yourself let your team handle it as they will never learn if they don’t have to do it. But back to the point, we never came through for the core and I apologize to the community. To let the community know BlackJacket software is no longer in business, although most of the developers still work for me. We have reorganized and formed ClearIT Consulting Inc. but we will not be making promises we can’t keep. To that point we will not take on more than we can handle. This is not an advertisement we have nothing currently to offer the community other than a few questions, right now.

I am banging my head on the keyboard trying to figure out the iSearchable interface. I am working on a module that uses the WebServices in GEMINI to allow for both the searching and integration into DNN of the Issues. But the Problem I am having is this. I first struggled to get it to call my function but after adding a divide by 0 error and messed with the database until I found the specialfeatures column in the DB. But now I am still not getting my items added. I am getting type not found errors and about 4 other errors when my implementation is called. I am not sure I understand what to put into the businesscontrolerclass column because I see a comma separated value in there that is misleading me I think. Also is it possible to make the search work with dynamic modules that need either a query string or some parameter passing to them to display the right information? I want to integrate the Search with many things but I am not sure this will work with what I am wanting to do without some more information passed to the search. Any one have any thoughts on this?
