Yes, I know there are two other VERY long Windows Authentication threads but let's be honest, after spending two hours wading through it all there is as much dis-information as there is information in those threads. Therefore I thought I would ask a very specific question in a new thread.

We are upgrading a DNN 2.1.2 installation that has about 50 portals along with Windows Authentication. When a new users hits any of the portals, a new user record was created if the user did not exist.

In our tests using DNN 3.1 with Tam's wonderful Windows Authentication (build 3.0.13) pieces, new users are only created on the main portal but not on any of the other 49 portals.

    1) Is this by design?
    2) Either way, is there a means to perform this functionality with Tam's module
    3) If not, is anyone already working on a different provider that will provide this or should we go ahead and create it ourselves?

    Thanks
    Tom Lucas

BUMP? Any know for sure on this since the source is not available any longer I am hard pressed to trace the functionality.

Tam (and some others) seem really quiet these days.  I wonder if he's just swamped with paying work at his day job, secretly preparing some big "WOW" factor release with the Core Team, or sadly losing interest in DNN???  There was talk of his forming a Sub-Project team....but I've heard little lately....and I still don't see an Authentication Provider Sub-Project forum on the mothership...
