    Hi All,

I have downloaded the new and improved SolPart Menu from SolPart.com and feeling kind of stupid, becuse I do not see how to install it or start customizing  Sad [:(]  Is there some instructions that I missed? It sounds great and I can't wait to start using it.

    Thank you much,

    Jim

OK, like I said, I feel stupid. I have figured out how to install the SolPart module. I have never uploaded a module into DNN before, (that is so cool). But, I created a new tab, (page), and put the SolPartMenuModule onto it. I saw just the smm_menu.ascx, so I added a table row to the exisiting table and included the smm_menudesigner.ascx. Now I see the "File" and "Help" menu options from smm_menu.ascx and below that I see the SolPart Menu Designer, (that is too cool), Hats off Jon!!! But, I have tried to update changes and keep getting this error....

INSERT statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint 'FK_ModuleSettings_Modules'. The conflict occurred in database 'DotNetNuke', table 'Modules', column 'ModuleID'. The statement has been terminated.

    Any thoughts fellow DNNer's???

    Thanks,

    Jim

    1. Log in as HOST
    2. Go to HOST >> Module Definitions
    3. Choose Upload New Module
    4. Browse to SolpartMenuModule-1500.zip
    5. Add then Upload New File
    6. Navigate to the page where you want your SolpartMenuModule

Add it, then go into edit.

I assume you are referring to the Menu Module (Private Assembly).  If so then you install it like any other module.  Log in as Host.  Go to the Host Menu / Modules and Definitions.  Hover over the arrow in upper left.  Choose upload new module.  Click the browse button.  Locate the zip file, select it,  Click the Add hyperlink, then Upload new file.

You are also going to have to manually copy the solpartwebcontrols.dll to the bin folder and the spmenu.js file into the controls\solpartmenu folder due to a limitation in the Private Assembly installer.

    Hope this helps,

Funny, the DLL was updated on a test site here.  Still had to copy the new .js file.

now only if Gecko worked properly...

SQL Rule #1: Leave the SA password blank.
SQL Rule #2: Don't use WHERE clauses on DELETE statements.

    Hi Jon,

    This is the error...

INSERT statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint 'FK_ModuleSettings_Modules'. The conflict occurred in database 'DotNetNuke', table 'Modules', column 'ModuleID'. The statement has been terminated.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Can't say that I have seen that one before.  I am using the underlying modulesettings exposed by the core to save the settings...  if you delete the module and add a new one does it occur on that one as well?

    Thank you much,
