We have MPS 2.0 & MPF 1.0 on a Windows 2000 server (with MS Exchange 2000 & MS SQL 2000).
We had a corruption in the ResourceManager database. Fortunately I had a copy of the database files and have reintroduced them. I've checked the tables all is back in place as it should be and literally at a point 2 minutes prior to the corruption, therefore
no entries were placed in MPS between the backup of this database and the corruption.
The problem now is that the server seems to hang on Windows Explorer functions such as opening 'Network Connections', viewing key folders (c:\program files\ and c:\winnt\) and hangs on Internet Explorer. Likewise you cannot shut down or start services or
make any other changes.
Does anyone know what is happening? I've not got any error messages in the log files. What a pain.
I also need to add a client to the system and setup emails etc. If anyone can help I would be grateful.
Is the Resource Manager database running on a SQL Server that's seperate from where the MPF Engine is installed? Did you find out why the DB was corrupt?

Thanks for the reply. I've discovered that the server concerned started to have hardware failures. I'm currently building a new server to replace the original and so this query should not need chasing up now. [:)]
