    Hey -

I am an experienced .net developer and have never used DotNetNuke before. I
am considering using it on a fairly large and complex web project. The
client a wants custom designed site that needs these features: membership,
recurring billing, content management, secure site content only available to
members, event registration, a commerce tool for purchasing documents, and a
number of custom applications. It will also need to integrate with a third
    party application (.net/sql server ).

Does anyone have a sense of whether or not DNN is a good platform for this
type of project? If so, how much effort is required in the customization of
the design and integrating new modules?

Also, depending on how things go, there may be a need for contract help on
the project so let me if anyone is interested.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Lev,
While it will require custom module development, I'm quite sure DNN would be a good fit for your project as it will provide several of your needed features (membership, recurring billing, content management, and secure sections) right "out of the box". And it is fully extensible with .net so you can add whatever features you need.

Depending on the timing, my company, Efficion Consulting should be available on a contract basis for all of your DNN needs.
