I'm developing a Web Part that will work as a navigation tree for the whole SharePoint site. It now works good, but my boss wants me to make it so that you have expand/collapse functionality in it also. It's absolutely necessary in cases where the site contains MANY subsites.

Has anybody done this before? Or does anybody know how to do this? I'm guessing some Javascript/DHTML is necessary....?? Or could it be done serverside too? In that case, how? How do one catch a postback in a Web Part.

    Help would be HIGHLY appreciated!!!

    Thanks!
    I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work

I'd like to work with you on this as I have some of the same needs.

I have some code for creating a menu that expands/collapses client side if you'd like to collaborate, email me at steve.walker (at) dtag (dot) com
