Stephen Walther, the founder of Superexpert ASPWorkshops, an INETA speaker, talks to DotNetUsers.org
Location: Microsoft Main Campus, Bldg 43/Adams Room
Time: 7:00 - 9:00
Talk is on the Microsoft Issue Tracker
The ASP.NET Issue Tracker Starter Kit is a free application distributed by Microsoft which illustrates best-practices when building Web applications with the ASP.NET 1.1 Framework (You can download the Issue Tracker at www.ASP.net/StarterKits ). This Starter Kit enables you to track issues (bugs) encountered while building and maintaining software applications. The Issue Tracker supports several advanced features such as custom issue fields and dynamic database queries.
In this talk, Stephen Walther -- who is one of the main developers of the Issue Tracker -- discusses the architecture of this Starter Kit. He also discusses how many of the features of this Starter Kit could be more easily implemented by taking advantage of the ASP.NET 2.0 Framework.
Stephen Walther is the author of ASP.NET Unleashed. He worked as a Program Manager on the Microsoft ASP.NET team. He was the lead developer of the ASP.NET Community Starter Kit and the Issue Tracker Starter Kit. He is a Microsoft Software Legend, a Microsoft ASP.NET MVP, and a member of INETA Speaker's Bureau. He has spoken at a number of major conferences including Microsoft TechEd, Microsoft DevDays, and ASP.NET Connections.
